What you will learn

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1) Discuss the ways building design can create a wellness-focused site when evolving over time from older structures, including historic preservation, adaptive re-use and compatible new construction.

2) Identify how ADA accessibility can be incorporated into a hospitality venue’s architectural and site design.

3) Explain how interior design conveys a sense of place to connect people to a sense of their shared past and to engage and learn about unfamiliar aspects of their or another’s culture

4) Describe how a large historic estate and an adjacent town can create a symbiotic relationship between the two sites through urban design and careful planning.
