For nearly 150 years, F茅au Boiseries has been keeping alive the grand tradition of French-style interiors. The company perpetuates century-old know-how in fitting, designing, making, and installing wood-paneling decors inspired by iconic architects and decorators from the 17^th century to the present day.

At the heart of what we do is the world鈥檚 largest collection of antique panels and documents, which our artisans adapt and replicate with exceptional know-how. The only comparable collection that ever existed was the Georges Hoentschel collection, acquired by J. Pierpont Morgan before it was gifted to the Metropolitan Museum of Art鈥檚 European Sculpture and Decorative Arts Fund in 1912.

The patiently assembled F茅au collection features rare and iconic pieces by some of the greatest architects and decorators in French history: Claude-Nicolas Ledoux, Fran莽ois-Joseph B茅langer, Charles Percier and Pierre Fontaine, Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann, Armand-Albert Rateau, Emilio Terry, to name only a few. Housed in our two 20,000 square feet ateliers, this priceless collection of innumerable complete rooms, panels, and fragments of carved wood, reflects the firm鈥檚 spirit, and its love of beauty and the decorative arts. It enables our workshop to recreate the most outstanding decors, and provides infinite material for the creativity, and the search for elegance and prestige, of our esteemed partners and customers around the world.

F茅au Boiseries is also recognized internationally for its exceptional craftsmanship. Our highly skilled artisans have all been trained following the traditional French woodworking techniques and they respect the highest standards of quality and precision. The strength of our workshop also lies in the creative flexibility and adaptability of its design studio, as well as its cutting-edge digital tools and robust processes, allowing us to handle the most demanding projects in their finest details, ranging from a precious powder room to a spectacular 200-seat private opera house.

F茅au Boiseries has had close ties with the United States for over 100 years. With clients such as Henry Frick, Henry Ford, the Gettys, and other past and present members of the American elite, F茅au Boiseries has worked on many exceptional interiors throughout the country, offering architects and decorators the opportunity to do work that is historically on par with that of Jansen or Carlhian and Duveen in their time.

Since brother and sister Guillaume and Ang茅lique F茅au started running the company in 1998, F茅au Boiseries has taken on a new dimension, earning the trust of distinguished contemporary interior designers and architects, all sharing a passion for historical style and detail: Peter Block, Timothy Corrigan, Robert Couturier, Tony Ingrao, Thomas A. Kligerman, Michael Misczynski, Mark Pinney, Oscar Shamamian, Andrew Skurman, Michael S. Smith, Suzanne Tucker, Bunny Williams, Russell Windham.

Today, F茅au makes around 30 complete rooms in the United States each year, out of the 80 to 100 rooms that we build worldwide, from the West Coast to Japan.
